This has been the best continuing education event I have attended in more than 20 years. Thank you for your enthusiasm and hard work. Excellent distillation of basic concepts and lots of detail on specific protocols. Thank you for translating successful therapy experiences into teachable, communicable frameworks, steps, skills, and strategies. This training was everything (and more) than I hoped it would be. This workshop is a tremendous educational achievement. I learned so much it is hard to measure. It filled in many gaps, but more than that – I learned concepts in much greater depth and have a better understanding. Both instructors were clear and sensitive to all classroom questions. An absolutely fantastic workshop; it has been a real privilege to be a part of it. Great interaction with participants and attentiveness to needs. Thank you for such valuable learning – I came a long distance and it was worth it! I feel energized. Really enjoyable, rewarding experience. I had the basic knowledge of CT but this workshop helped me bring all the knowledge together so that I can be more smooth and effective with my clients. I learned so much: bridges and set-ups, compassionate view of personality disorders, cognitive protocols, practical questions, demonstrations by Christine. Outstanding workshop! The explanations were complete enough to lead into experiential learning and role plays, where some of the more complex issues came out and could be debriefed. So refreshing, it is so good to have a workshop that is informative and also allows time for meaningful personal reflection and development. I am inspired and motivated. This has been one of the most helpful, useful, practical workshops that I have ever attended. This was truly an amazing experience. The training, the participants, the setting… |
| Instructors were
tremendous role models in terms of therapeutic stance, use of language,
integration of research, compassion, belief in the possibility of change.
Their enthusiasm is infectious. Good time management. Clinical demonstrations. A structured, systematic approach to therapy taught with empathic understanding and demeanor. Instructors are very motivated, care about student learning, have a sense of humor. The clarity of presentations and instructor preparation. Both are master teachers. The knowledge was creative, specific, intelligent and presented in an interesting and dynamic way. The handouts/workbook is great. Very specific, clinical/practical. Collaborative relationship – both with each other and with participants. Open, accepting, affirming, very knowledgeable. Empathic, beautifully & elegantly presented, and fun! |

Winter
Workshop was absolutely a world class experience! Well organized. Information was helpful
and relevant. Pacing was relaxed but engaging. The training, trainers, colleagues, resort
and location were all world class. I cant remember ever having such an enriching
educational and personal experience. Pulled a lot of concepts together in a way that creates an approach rather than a couple of techniques. Ideal balance of didactic presentations, handouts, videos, demonstrations and supervised practice. Helped synthesize, organize and inspire me. Clarity, sequential guidance and organization. Practical and taught with immense respect for the client and participants. Fantastic location. A good review. Also expanded my knowledge of technique and when to use it. Great setting and facilities. Best workshop attended (anywhere). Great balance of context, skills practice, modeling. Top presenters. The instructor demonstrations were superb. I found the five days so energizing, rich and relaxing. I loved the diversity of participants. The role-plays were indispensable. A good integration of theory and practice. Lots of tips for improving skills. Ability to flexibly adhere to a clearly articulated theoretical model. Excellent workshop! Altogether, with videos, practical techniques, humor, and moving role-plays, it was a unique experience. Overall the course was invaluable in tightening up therapeutic skills around guided discovery, Socratic questioning, thought records, and other methods. From simple principles to complex application. Depth of knowledge superbly presented, well thought out and empathetically presented. Specific and concrete applications of techniques and integration with non-specific factors and cognitive theory. Excellent workshop. I would love to do it again. The workshop itself was superlative and who wouldnt love this setting! It was a total learning experience. Great from beginning to end. Every moment was useful. This was the best course I have ever attended. We covered an amazing breadth of topics and treatment. Excellent workshop with depth and clinical sensitivity. Good balance between explaining key concepts and advanced casework. A most satisfying professional learning experience with a well selected group of peers. Optimal interaction, pace, and opportunity to learn and integrate into pre-existing knowledge. Non-judging, instructive and lots of humor. Clarity of presentation and compassion for both clients and therapists. Preparation, organization, thoughtfulness, presence, teamwork. The best handouts in my 25 years of attending conferences. The teaching atmosphere was collaborative and positive. The multicultural flavor of the group and the caring personal touches of the instructors greatly contributed to the experience. Lots of practical presentations made alive by role plays. Instructors offered a wonderful combination of massive knowledge base and capacity to demonstrate theory and method with clarity and warmth. The afternoon break was great. We all returned energized. |
